NEWS: Sweet New Additions at Disney Springs

NEWS: Sweet New Additions at Disney Springs

There’s something about a new year that always makes me feel so inspired to be more planful. It usually starts when I buy my official new paper planner and I start actively jotting every single goal I have for myself and my family including planning more dinners, making time for health and wellness, and finding time for date night ideas with my husband. One of our favorite places for a day trip or evening out is Disney Springs. (We are both obsessed with The Ganachery s’mores and get them every chance we get!) If you’re like me and are looking to be a little more planful in the new year, I have a few suggestions on new destinations you simply can’t miss on your next Disney Springs trip. Check them out!

Gideon’s Bakehouse at Disney Springs

Gideon’s Bakehouse

Celebrating its grand opening just last weekend, Gideon’s new flagship location is already a popular destination at Disney Springs. Nestled in the heart of The Landing is where you’ll find this incredible bakery packed with handmade, almost half-pound cookies, double frosted cakes, and delicious iced coffees. Not only is the menu amazing but the dark and mysterious atmosphere themed to an old bookshop creates an unforgettable experience as soon as you walk through the door including some interactive elements inside. (Not to give too much away!) Gideon’s Bakehouse carries the same popular menu from their original East End Market location with a few Disney Springs exclusive offerings like the ever-popular Coffee Cake Cookie (previously only available one month a year) and hot cookie hour each evening. Due to popular demand, Gideon’s does offer a virtual queue each day so we recommend arriving early so you can grab your spot in-line and do a little shopping while you wait.

Everglazed Donuts & Cold Brew at Disney Springs

I was convinced you could find almost any sweet treat at Disney Springs but Everglazed Donuts & Cold Brew has proved me wrong! The menu boasts an impressive selection of both classic donut flavors and over-the-top gourmet creations like Peanut Butter Explosion, Maple Double Bacon and Oreo Supreme just to name a few. And what’s a donut without an awesome cup of joe? Everglazed also specializes in cold brew coffees and even spiked coffees if your heart desires. Other noteworthy items on the menu include their hand-crafted flavored milks, savory breakfast sandwiches, and loaded fries.

A local Central Florida brand, Wondermade specializes in hand-crafted marshmallows including flavors such as S’mores, Key Lime Pie, Birthday Cake and Salted Caramel. If you’re ready to indulge in some real luxury, be sure to ask about their Gold Champagne flavor hand-covered in 24 karat edible gold.

M&M’S at Disney Springs

Coming Soon — M&M’S

As we enter 2021, get ready to play in a whole new world of color at M&M’S opening soon at Disney Springs West Side! This beloved brand is a guest-favorite and I’m thrilled to share there’s even more to love about M&M’S. Be on the lookout for new Mickey and Minnie Mouse M&M’s designs and packaging sold exclusively at Disney Springs. If that’s not exciting enough, the new store will be filled with their signature chocolate wall and feature a vast assortment of whimsical merchandise, including apparel and accessories. Be sure to follow @disneysprings and @mmschocolate on social media for more details on the upcoming opening. There is always something new to check out or a sweet treat to try at Disney Springs and I can’t wait to share more exciting happenings with you in the new year! My enthusiasm for all things Disney all started when my parents took our family to WDW for a vacation. My first trip was at age 13. Since that first time, I have made a trip to WDW almost every year from age 13. As far as I knew there was only one place to vacation! My fascination with WDW began on that first trip. I wanted to know how things at WDW operated and what made it so magical. I wanted to know details like how many people worked there and the length of the monorail track. It is that fascination that fueled my interest in WDW. Each year that my family vacationed at WDW, I learned more about WDW as they built more parks and added more attractions. I am not the average fan; I want to know all the details and I love researching the facts of WDW. I research facts through the Internet, books and DVDs. To me, the best part is to conduct research trip at WDW. After college, my father was transferred to Orlando and I moved with my parents. Seeking employment, I applied for a job at WDW. I passed the first rounds of interviews and was proud to join the Disney family as a security cast member! The job was great. It included Disney-specific training and security training before assuming four duties: driving a security vehicle, standing a post, working in a resort or walking a park or other area. Sometimes I even had special duties like working the Epcot Christmas Processional. I would escort the celebrity guests from backstage to onstage. Interestingly, every cast member is given a WDW fact book monthly to aid in answering guest questions. The pocket book contained great Disney facts that added more fuel for my thirst of Disney facts. Well, all-good things must come to end so we moved back to NJ. In the summer of 2010 I moved back to Florida I am now living in Orlando less then 15 minutes from WDW and living the dream and have fun along the way. Favorite Park – Magic Kingdom Favorite Character – Mickey Mouse Favorite restaurant – California Grill Favorite attraction – Toy Story Mania Favorite resort – Bay Lake Tower / Contempoary First time at a disney park – 1976 & have been every year since Who was on your first disney trip – My entire family Favorite disney memory – My first trip and my first trip with my kids How far do you live from disney now – 15 minutes When is your next Disney trip? – every weekend Favorite Disney Movie – Jungle Book & Toy Story
