After nearly 11 years of operation, The Pirates League makeover experience is set to close this summer at Magic Kingdom.
At The Pirates League, located in Adventureland, guests ages 3 and up are able to transform into the pirate of their dreams with a variety of makeover options. This is also the only transformation location where adults can get in on the fun.
Each transformation includes your very own pirate name, facial makeup, accessories, and with some packages, hairstyles. Guests are paired one-on-one with a Pirate Master, a member of Captain Jack Sparrow’s crew, who transform each recruit into a pirate worthy of the high seas. After the experience, guests are escorted into a secret “Treasure Room,” where a special surprise awaits!
According to the official Walt Disney World website, The Pirates League will sail off into the sunset on July 27, 2020. There’s no word yet on what, if anything, will replace the League, or if we’ll see a new transformation experience open up elsewhere.
This is the only place where guests can get a pirate transformation other than the Disney Cruise Line, which only offers their version of The Pirates League on sailings with Pirate Party Nights.
Guests can continue to make reservations for a pirate transformation through July 27; after that, the location will permanently close.
