A new shopping opportunity has come to West Side in Disney Springs: the NBA Experience Store. The store opened this week, and it’s sure to help get everyone excited for the debut of the NBA Experience on August 12th.
As guests approach the store, cast members are there to welcome them and tell them to have fun as they explore what’s inside. The store’s offerings are perfect for those who love basketball, and might even appeal to those who do not consider themselves to be the biggest of NBA fans.
Inside the store, you’ll find what you might expect the store to sell: t-shirts and jerseys for all members of the family, team hats, and matted photographs of both current and past NBA players.
A few fun surprises have been thrown in as well. Disney and Loungefly have collaborated to create a basketball-inspired backpack ($70) that is branded specifically for the NBA Experience.
Several D-Tech On Demand stations are found toward the back of the store, and, as you would guess, the typical items are available for personalization: MagicBands, magnets, phone cases, and the like. Here at the NBA Experience Store, you can also D-Tech a water bottle with Mickey wearing your favorite NBA team’s jersey ($29.99 plus $5 if you’d like to add your name).
NBA collectibles are also offered in the store. Love Steph Curry? You can take home a matted and framed Golden State Warriors jersey signed by him for $1,100. It might not be the typical Walt Disney World vacation souvenir, but it’s unique, that’s for sure.
Annual Passholder, DVC, and Cast Member discounts do apply at the NBA Experience Store, except on the purchase of collectibles.
If you have a bit of extra time at Disney Springs, stop by the NBA Experience Store. There’s a great energy to the store, and it’s certainly always fun to get to explore something new.
Be sure to keep an eye out on The DBTN as the August 12th opening of the NBA Experience approaches.
