As the Downtown Disney District continues to be open for guests to enjoy at the Disneyland Resort, here are a few tips to help you plan your next visit.
1. Stay late and enjoy the magic!
Starting today, July 31, and running through the month of August, the Downtown Disney District will stay open until 9 p.m. Friday through Sunday. Keep in mind that operating hours may vary per location for operating participants.
2. Entry can occasionally be paused
To help promote physical distancing based on guidance from health authorities and government officials, entry to the Downtown Disney District may occasionally be paused due to its limited capacity.
During this time, parking in the Simba lot and admission of guests wanting to enter Downtown Disney on foot will also be paused. Entry will resume as soon as they are able.
Digital message boards on Disneyland Drive and Katella Avenue will show when entry is paused, so be sure to keep an eye out if you plan to visit.
3. Free parking! (For now)
For the time being, parking at the Simba lot is complimentary.
4. Don’t forget your mask
Remember that face coverings are required for all guests ages 2 and up while visiting Downtown Disney. You can learn more about the specific requirements for appropriate face masks here.
5. Download the official Disneyland app to make the most of your visit
Make sure that you have the latest version of the Disneyland app downloaded to your mobile device before your visit, with location services and notifications enabled. The app will help you with practically everything you need, including shopping and dining locations, operating hours, and more.
6. Stay up-to-date on the latest info
Be sure to keep an eye on Disneyland.com/DTD for the latest updates, as new information is added often — including health and safety measures, things to expect when visting, and more.
