Disney+, the new streaming service from The Walt Disney Company, has released the official trailer for one of the most anticipated titles coming to the platform for theme park fans.
The Imagineering Story goes behind-the-scenes at Walt Disney Imagineering to tell the sixty-five year history of the creative branch of Disney theme parks. The documentary series will contain six hours of archival footage combined with interviews from current Imagineers to paint a picture of what Imagineering does and how they do it.
Even though The Imagineering Story will debut on Disney+, it wasn’t originally created for that platform. Before we take a look at the official trailer released recently, here’s a look at a trailer released all the way back in 2013 when the project was first introduced to the public. Originally announced at the 2013 D23 Expo, The Imagineering Story was a promised movie that was set to be released in 2016. Of course, just because a project is announced at the D23 Expo doesn’t mean we’ll ever see it (looking at you, Main Street Theater). Luckily for us, it seems like The Imagineering Story has been expanded upon and turned into a six-hour series for Disney+! First, here’s a look at the 2013 trailer.
Compare that trailer to the one released recently for Disney+ and we can see new footage has been added, including some very brief looks at the Beast from the upcoming Beauty and the Beast attraction at Tokyo Disneyland!
Here’s the official trailer for the Disney+ version of The Imagineering Story.
Disney+ is $4.99 per month or $69.99 for a year and debuts on November 12th. For more, visit DisneyPlus.com.
