Disney has updated some FAQs on their website as the questions pour in from guests looking to plan their trip to Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge at Disneyland and Disney’s Hollywood Studios. As we reported yesterday, Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge will open in two phases. First, it will open with the shops, dining, and interactive experiences as well as with Millennium Falcon: Smugglers Run. When it initially opens at both Disneyland and Walt Disney World, Millennium Falcon: Smugglers Run will not offer FastPass.
Later in the year, Star Wars: Rise of the Resistance will open at Disneyland and Disney’s Hollywood Studios. According to Disney, Rise of the Resistance will follow in the operational footsteps of Smugglers Run and it will not offer any FastPasses when it opens. This applies to both the Disneyland and Walt Disney World version of the attractions, as the answer shows up on each of the respective FAQ sections.
As for why Star Wars: Rise of the Resistance won’t open until later this year, Disney also provides an answer for that, stating, “We are pushing the boundaries of innovation and technology with these signature attractions and will not open an attraction until it exceeds our expectations”.
